About Jennifer Tai
Since becoming a full-time mom and coming to the US, I’ve had more time to write creatively. Coming from 11 years of business and technology journalism (there is a limit to the creativity in editorialising video games and enterprise servers), there was nothing but a dry, cracked desert where my imagination once was. But through blogging and writing short stories, a small, underground spring is now forming.
So far, a few of my short stories have been accepted by a couple of publishers. While this is at first a very exciting time for me, the wait between getting the “yes, we will be accepting your work!” email and truly seeing your work in print is an arduous and torturous wait, and it’s hard to keep your morale up and going.
On Feb 25th 2007, I started this blog to write short stories (I aspire to write one tale a day but might first die from exhaustion) each no longer than a thousand words, inspired by Ziv Navoth’s Nanotales. Hopefully one day, that spring will become an oasis.
I will make these stories into podcasts as well for those who prefer to listen.
